The footprint of the house has remained virtually unchanged apart from the two storey extension to the front elevation which contains a family lounge, hallway and first floor master bathroom. The owner wanted to avoid white window frames, and the Fakro rooflights have been colour matched to the grey aluminium-clad timber windows.
The spacious master bathroom extension on the first floor incorporates an apex window, a luxurious walk-in shower and double sinks. The Magnet kitchen units have been fitted with hard-wearing white Corian worktops. A sliding glass door divides the dining area from the main sitting room, which overlooks the rear deck through full height glazed doors. A new extension has created a snug style TV lounge at the front of the house where the whole family gather for movie nights.
